Phase I
Inner fjord
Settled days at the fjord head, walking the slopes above the water and learning how the light works in a place that only receives a few hours of direct sun in the shoulder seasons.
Phase II
Outward passage
Ferry and boat movement seaward through narrowing sounds, with time held back for weather. Nothing is scheduled so tightly that a cancelled crossing breaks the journey.
Phase III
Outer coast
Days on the Atlantic-facing islands, where the terrain flattens, the wind is constant and the fishing calendar still sets the rhythm of the harbours.
